This is an entry level computer operator position that is responsible for operating the peripheral systems that are attached to the mainframe system in a 24 x 7 environment. Under supervision, the Computer Operator is expected to operate the Data Center printers, mount tapes on 3420, and 3490 tape drive
The role of the Tape Operator/floater in IT is to perform the following:
Run the Print room which is basically done with IBM Laser Printers 3900 and 3300
Perform set up for distribution of packages - shrink wrap and label packages for delivery, but will not be responsible for delivering the packages.
This position is PART TIME OVERNIGHT - Monday through Wednesday from 12 midnight to 6am but may be required to work until 8am occasionally.
