Job Listing: Drafter (Mechanical and Electrical) - AutoCAD
Work for a worldwide supplier of the most advanced automation, power control products for the manufacturing arena.
Looking for one Mechanical and one Electrical Drafter with programming experience using AutoCAD.
Under general supervision, prepare layout drawings or diagrams of machinery, electrical devices, attachments, control tools, structures, etc. from data and specifications submitted by designers or engineers. Operate computer aided drafting equipment to perform applicable layout work. Calculate dimensions and allowances. Compile BOMs and specification sheets. Collaborate with designers on new and special work. Revise drawings as necessary and initiate engineering change orders. May assign work to and check the work of lower level drafters. Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. May develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Creates and modifies detailed drawings using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical 2008 software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.

Required Skills
Prefer general understanding of Client's Motor control center business.
Would prefer an associate degree, technical degree and 4 to 6 years of related experience.
Looking for experience with Visual Basic, JCL and MICROFOCUS Cobol.
