The world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment has a long-term contract position available for an Electrical Modeler/Designer.
Position Description:
The Designer/Modeler:

Will contribute to the design and maintenance of midrange, compact, and containerized Genset packages. This includes:

Design, detailing, and releasing of prints into Company systems.

Will be working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Designers, suppliers, and other team members to improve quality, reduce costs, and complete the development of Genset packages.

Individuals in this position will be expected to be able to contribute to the design of Genset control systems, alternator selection, breaker designs, and/or other components that are part of a generator system, by using AutoCAD to detail designs and route various harnesses.
The work hours are flexible -- i.e. 8-hour work days beginning anywhere from 7:00am to 8:30am.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Electrical Modeler/Designer position include the following:

3-5 years of AutoCAD experience
Technical School degree
Knowledge of and prior experience with power electrical systems, harnesses, and the components that control power circuits

Highly-Motivated Preferences:

Knowledge of Microsoft computer programs such as Word or Excel
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Quality Management experience
Communication skills
