Job Listing: Regional Safety Manager
Conducts plant safety inspections, compiles and files reports to ensure compliance with Corporate and governmental requirements. Provides instruction and assistance to plant/division personnel in the correction or improvement of safe working conditions. Works under the general direction of the Safety Director.
Typical Duties Include:
Training Safety Managers at different locations in a Tri-State territory. Inspects plants to ensure compliance with Corporate and governmental safety requirements. Develops programs mandated by federal and state regulations. Audits facilities and operations. Oversees hazard abatement activities. Provides expertise of all materials and processes. Ensures implementation of control measures. Oversees safety program performance. Represents the Company with professional health care providers and with regulatory agencies.

Required Skills
4 Year Degree (Bachelors or above is MANDITORY); Ergonomics experience; 3-5 years Department of Transportation experience (DOT); Good knowledge of governmental health and safety regulations and reporting requirements; Good knowledge of company safety, health and environmental standards, or the ability to acquire it quickly; Ability to maintain and prepare complete, accurate reports and records; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to maintain effective working relationships. This position will report to the Division Sales Safety Manager and will require approximately 30% travel. The territory includes Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. CSP designation preferred. This position is 80% Safety and 20% Risk Management.
