A leader in Search Engine Marketing and Optimization is seeking a Search Engine Optimization Specialist to work in their NYC office.
Position Summary:
The Search Engine Optimization Specialist position serves a critical role in execution of SEO campaigns. It is responsible for Organic Search Campaign Management, including execution, optimization, growth, and reporting.
The SEO Specialist works in conjunction with the Manager of the Search Engine Optimization Group and Account Executive to fulfill client campaign execution. This role interfaces with Our client's customers on a daily basis, and is responsible for building and maintaining a strong working relationship.
The SEO Specialist also works closely with Client Services, Corporate Marketing, Design and Web Analytics teams to seamlessly provide the highest quality Organic Search Engine Optimization Campaign Management, utilizing all necessary tools and resources to insure success.
Role of the SEO Specialist:
Manage the overall client relationship by setting and delivering upon client expectations.
Lead regular client presentations and strategic discussions; be involved with higher-level negotiations with clients.
Spearhead consistent review of project delivery and execution.
Aid Account Executives with client communication and technical information support.
Research and develop keyword target lists and establish page level distribution.
Find and define technological deficiencies and recommend Best Practice solutions.
Advise on and help define website content needs and oversee its development with proper SEO methodologies built in.
Define and describe optimal website navigational structure for usability, indexation, and ranking improvement.
Write optimized and concise HTML Title and Meta Description tags along with optimized copy.
Provide dictated link building services and brainstorm and execute new link development ideas.
Run, process, and analyze progress reports.
Keep abreast of industry developments and research and participate in the SEO community online.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate, hungry and looking to make an impact in the Internet Marketing industry. S/he would have the desire to learn from the best and be the best in one of the fastest growing and most exciting career fields today - Search Engine Optimization. S/he will learn the ins and outs of organic/natural search. The candidate should have a BA or BS in Marketing, Web Design/Development, IT, CIS, or other related field. S/he will also possess superior language, grammar, and creative writing skills as well as analytical skills.
Required Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with search engines, Internet usage, and basic online principles
Basic HTML and Web Design experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills Considered a Plus:
Knowledge of basic Search Engine optimization principles
PPC/Search Engine Marketing experience
Advanced HTML, CSS, and Web design experience
Experience with Blogs and Social Media
Web Analytics skill and experience
