Job Listing: Logistics Coordinator


One of the top 50 3rd Party Logistics Company seeks a first shift logistics coordinator. This position must provide the customer with the best overall levels of service, meet and exceed the established goals for on-time pick up and delivery.


Responsibilities may include, identify areas to improve service levels, problem resolution, pro active approach with service providers, rate quotes, and respond to general inquiries regarding customer inventory, and shipments.


A successful candidate will be qualified to:

•Handle problem resolution with customer, service providers and Logistics Centers with no or minimal assistance from Customer Solutions Manager or Facility Manager.

•Perform order registration that may include special requirements…ie…extra labor, forklifts on site, disposal etc.

•Perform advanced daily tracks and trace customers; update AMS.

•Responsible for recording monthly notes, data & billing as needed.

•Responsible for attending routine conference calls, forecast meetings and stay in constant communication with the customer as needed.

•Train employees and backup as needed.

•Utilize Word, Excel and Power Point effectively as needed.





Required Skills

•1 – 3 years of customer service background with transportation experience.

•Typing and functional knowledge of personal computers with a comfort level to work in a multiple screen environment.

•Excellent communication and ability to work out customer issues

•Able to make difficult decisions & provide suggestions for improvement

•Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point
