Software Test Engineer Level 2 Automation, Batch Processing .Net Technology, Web Services, OLAP, NTBatch, SDLC - Test Methodologies
Our client is currently developing a Human Resources information technology model from the ground up. The planned target is training sales force resources how to be more efficient in product and service sales and retention. STE Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Proactive involvement in test strategies, planning and execution across the HRIT organization following SDLC discipline.
Analyze, interpret and incorporate results into test case improvement and enhancement.
Enable the Test team to deliver high-quality and reliable applications efficiently (via tools, automation, standards, processes, best practices, etc).
Ensure appropriate test approach, methodology and documentation is in place.
Perform repetitive testing on SQL stored procedures and processes.
Verify installation instruction, triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity and the system meets specifications.
Quantify risk and quality metrics for a project.
Partner with other SDLC groups to review specifications, insure timely resolution of issues, ensure thorough testing from a business perspective, understand support issues, etc.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Software Test Engineer includes the following:
Minimum 3 - 5 years of demonstrated work experience in testing business-oriented information systems
An expansive base of technical skills with the primary focus on Microsoft technologies
Demonstrated knowledge of the software development lifecycle with a focus on test methodologies
Experience with automation tools (Win Runner, Load Runner and QTP)
Experience testing stored procedures, triggers, etc
Knowledge of batch processing (NTBatch)
Familiar with .Net technology, Web Services and OLAP
Sound software test practices on large projects at all stages of product development
Excellent problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills
Education requirements: BA or BS in Business, Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience
Bonus Skills:
Experience with internal beta testing of software
Strong understanding of database design
Ability to read and understand complex SQL
.Net and C# coding experience
