Technical Writer - Entertainment and Gaming
In this position you will be working on customer facing end-user content for game console hardware, product manuals, online guides and entertainment services. Content will range from web pages, set up guides, UI and error messaging documentation. This documentation will focus on improving all documentation and creating new documentation on upcoming upgrades and changes.

This is an estimated 6 month contract (with possible extension) through Volt Technical & Creative Communication - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Bothell, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Required Skills for this Technical Writer includes the following:

Background in writing content for a consumer end user with experience using HTML, XML or XMetal
Experience writing UI text and error messages
Experience with Adobe InDesign
Passion for writing for the entertainment space and/or consumer device end-users
Must be able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Must be able to work on multiple writing projects simultaneously and be able to shift focus to new content deliverables easily
Experience in consumer electronics, mobile devices is very helpful
Experience working in a deadline driven or continuous publishing environment required
