Job Listing: Engineering Technician

Large, Midwest manufacturer is currently seeking an engineering technician to join their energetic team. Duties include:

Testing agricultural hardware and software products with cooperators in the field.

Working with advanced engineers as product verification and validation resource to develop test plans and test cases for client specific products.

Executing field and/or lab tests to validate new product designs.

Working with test cooperators to give them work direction in the field on advanced products.

Coordinating problem identification activities and tracking corrective action progress.


Required Skills

Strong farming, precision agriculture knowledge, and good computer and/or software skills are necessary.

Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

The ability to communicate, manage and maintain good working relationship with customers/dealers will be a must.

Individuals will be working with tractors, combines, sprayers, and various implements so knowledge around equipment is strongly desired.

Travel will be required to customer farms, dealerships or other test locations.

A general knowledge of dealers and customers using agricultural products in the area would be very beneficial.
