Act as commodity team/World Class Supplier (WCS) Team Leader. Develop, advocate and implement a robust global commodity plan. Development, advocate and implement feild and negotiation strategies for key spend areas to achieve short & long term savings targets. Lead, coordinate and facilitate global, cross-functional, commodity teams using TQCFS (Technology, Quality, Cost, Flexibility, Service) principles to achieve commodity plan objectives- interface with Supply Base Model (SBM), and with Accounts Payable, internal customer & global supplier contacts. Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts for top pareto suppliers with key areas of spend. Implement performance guarantee contracts to minimize risk and increase supplier accountability for non performance. Coordinate aggregation of all sites commodity demand for supplier forecasting and leveraging for cost reduction. Manage global supplier base to ensure supply with no adverse impact on factory ramp plan or customer schedule. Utilize formal benchmarking process to determine best in class processes and drive areas for CSM improvement. Develop and implement cost reduction programs through the use of Cost- of Ownership (COO) analysis, cost build up analysis and supplier competition. Measure and track performance with defines spend category. Lead the data gathering process to continually update and identify user requirements, and internal spend characteristics. Work on contract/projects as assigned by management or as required. Develop and negotiate contracts and work on project as assigned. Lead process improvements initiatives that support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) vision. Lead global, cross-functional teams to ensure success of a defined project. Define, measure, & achieve measurement metrics to track progress and benefits of project. Implement inventory maximization programs to optimize inventory and service levels. Works on project and or assignments as required, using approved guidelines.




Required Skills

BS/BA degree plus 8 years of ex. in a related technical or business field or MBA plus 3 years of experience in a related technical or business feild. Specific education in Supply Chain Management preferred. Complete knowledge of operational purchasing processes & concepts. In depth knowledge of Supply Chain Management. NAPM/APICS Certification preferred. Proficiency in Senior Buyer skills & functions.
