Job Listing: Welding Process Engineer

Our client is a world-class leader in this field and is looking for high-performing engineers like you to bring your skills and experience to conceptualizing, developing and designing the process improvement strategies needed by their suppliers. By assessing supplier capability, developing improvement plans, and managing these processes, you will ensure that suppliers continually exceed production goals.

Our customer has an immediate need for an engineer to serve as an experienced, individual contributor on projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance product performance, durability, reliability, quality and serviceability, specifically in the area of welding engineering for manufacturing support.

Qualified individuals will provide technical direction to engineers in the areas of fabrication and welding on all facets of welding (joining) technical support. You will work as a focal point for welding-related issues. One of the most crucial aspects of this position will be your ability to consult with suppliers on joining-related issues such as process, automation, training, repair/salvage, manufacturing engineering, and/or quality. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced engineer to broaden their experience while building relationships with both external and internal suppliers as you will be working closely with both manufacturing and engineering processes. This position is not located in St. Louis, but is located in the Midwest region of the United States. Relocation assistance will be provided to qualified candidates.

Required Skills

You should have from 5 or more years of working experience in:

- Welding-related corporate standards and specifications (AWS specific) and experience applying these in a manufacturing or process driven environment

- Quality/process improvement standards such as APQP/AIG

- Driving change within organizations

- Our client particularly needs candidates with a Bachelor's degree in either Engineering or a related discipline.
