45 - 80 Day Contract Position
We are seeking a .Net Developer who will work on requirement analysis, design, development, testing through to deployment and management of the production environment.
The Web Developer will be maintaining different versions of the code. Due to the nature of the project, they will work in an environment requiring small and frequent functional releases. Knowledge of the latest web technologies is required, as is a genuine interest and passion for the web. This is a proactive role, where the individual is expected to be a self-motivated, key member of the company. Their ideal candidate will be very "hands-on" and competent with technical work in a small business environment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical design
Implement the design to develop and test the functional requirements
Source code maintenance
Administer development and production environments (this includes websites and databases)
Continuous monitoring of website and database performance
Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the site and the business
Interact with Business Development and Marketing team to understand the business
Provide effort estimates and prioritize tasks
Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
Assess risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change

Required Skills

Required Skills for this .Net Web Developer position includes 3+ years in the following:
Strong commercial development experience
Experience with handling large data volumes is essential
Experience with maintaining SQL Server 2000/2005 objects and handling performance issues
Experience with .NET Framework 1.1 and higher
Strong understanding and hands on experience with C#, ASP.NET and ADO.NET using Visual Studio.NET 2003
Expert knowledge of MySQL
Knowledge of XML, XHTML and XMLHTTP would be an added advantage
