CAD Drafter
A leading full-service Engineering, Construction, and Operations firm has an opening for a CAD Drafter in the Fishkill, NY location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CAD Drafter:
Provides drafting support for the entire Engineering and Design team, by doing project drawing reproduction and assisting the All Design team.
Performs drafting according to accepted Company and National standards with limited supervision.
Develops drawings from sketches and verbal instructions.
Modifies existing drawings from:
Verbal instructions
Preliminary layouts
Sketches
Marked-up prints utilizing Computer-Assisted Design/Drafting programs
Revises original drawings following prescribed instructions.

Has an understanding of basic AutoCAD commands.
Provides file management and translations.
Employs use of procedures, standards and reference information.

Direction of Others:

Required Skills for this CAD Drafter position include the following:
Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design/Drafting in specialized Technology from accredited technical program.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
AA in CAD or 1-3 years-extensive drafting CAD experience in AutoCAD version 2005 or greater, coupled with other exceptional strengths and capabilities.
Willingness to strengthen educational background and participate in professional societies.
