The largest provider of fixed satellite services worldwide has a contract position available for an Oracle Applications Developer.
Position Summary:
The Oracle Applications Developer will perform the identification, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Oracle application modules, interfaces and reports. The candidate will need to:

Define the scope and definition of IT solutions.
Create and analyze system requirements.
Develop design documentation.
Design, code, test, and debug all developed programs.
Adhere to all design, coding, and documentation standards.

In addition, the Developer will:

Work independently on large complex systems.
Resolve complex systems and programming problems.
Provide guidance and counsel to less experienced Programmer-Analysts.

This is an estimated 6-month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Vienna, VA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Southeast.

Required Skills for this Oracle Applications Developer position include the following:

Minimum of 7+ years of full Life Cycle development experience
5+ years of:

Oracle Applications development and Oracle Web Server experience
Experience with SQL/PL-SQL and RDBMS concepts

Strong knowledge of Accounting concepts
Must be creative, professional, proactive, and interested in new technologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical persons
Ability to analyze problems and communicate and propose resolutions to issues critical
