Job Listing: Cost Accountant- Manufacturing

Some of your main functions will be applying accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and participate in continuous operational improvements for multiple, global manufacturing and service sites.

- Participates directly in organizational changes, by identifying operations issues or problem areas, developing cross-functional work teams, creating solutions, and adapting financial processes.
- Prepares and supports balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other reports.
- Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.
- Responsible for Inventory reconciliation and maintaining any book to perpetual changes.
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
- Prepares, reviews, and inputs journal entries for month end close.
- Installs, modifies, and implements accounting systems and control procedures, just to name a few..

Required Skills

- BA or BS degree in accounting/finance.
-2-5 years experience in accounting theory, consolidations, cost, program, manufacturing, and G&L.
- SOX experience
- ACCESS databases.

Preferred:
- Current status with GAAP, CAS, FAR, IRS, with training certifications (CPA, CMA, CIA) and/or advanced degrees.
- Experience with MAPICS and/or SAP.
