Job Listing: Quality Engineer

Required Skills

The best candidate for this position will hold a minimum of Bachelors degree in an engineering/business management discipline and experienced in part approval, control plans, manufacturing processes, continuous improvement. Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (has good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge). Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, statistics (performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others). Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution process, quality tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities (has good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge). Knowledge of products, customers, markets and competitors is very useful. Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis. Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style.

Recommended Experience in industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution quality (1-3 years)

Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases (1-3 years)
Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management (1-3 years)

$24.65 - $32.35 Hourly DOE
