Must be willing to travel 60% to 75% of the time in the Southwest region territories/no exceptions:
Supervise personnel/crews in the loading and unloading of all metal scrap and non-ferrous materials. Will be responsible for quality control of all loads under your supervision and send in all safety paperwork, i.e. MSHA reports (OSHA)
Communicate on a daily basis with buyers, reporting any and all issues no matter how small.
Ensure Safety rules and guidelines are adhered to at all times and ensure that employees work performance is within acceptable standards and meets with company policy.
Inspect all equipment on a daily basis and is in good working order, for the purpose of safety and getting loads out or in on an acceptable schedule. Alert management immediately to any repair issues immediately. Communicate daily with Plant or Yard Management regarding schedules, problems etc.
Must be fluent in Spanish, will be on the road extensively, traveling to many different locations, to service the customer (many Copper Mines) Work is loud, hot at times and dirty, but rewarding in the sense of accomplishment and taking ownership as a leader and hard worker. Required Skills
1. 4/6 years current Supervision in an industrial setting where safety is paramount.
2. Bilingual Spanish fluency
3. Have strong leadership skills, someone who really cares and watches out for the crews.
4. Excellent computer skills
5. Excellent at filling out the Safety forms (OSHA-MSHA) this is a must have...no exceptions
6. Commitment to the extensive travel...will be provided company vehicle at each location assigned to....must be insurable, have a current clean driving record...no issues in this area...it will be checked
