Job Listing: Purchasing Assistant $14-15/hr.
Volt Workforce Solutions, a leading employment solutions provider has partnered with our client in Irvine to help identify a Purchasing Assistant for an excellent contract opportunity. This position is with a leading company in the apparel distribution field. However, you would be primarily responsible for assisting with the procurement of non merchandise products and services including; store supplies, distribution center supplies, office service supplies, merchandise packaging items, construction supplies and maintenance/service contracts. Job functions will include but are not limited to: working with existing vendors and assisting with sourcing new vendors, acting as a liaison between all departments to ensure proper communication is attained during the Request for Proposal process, assisting in the tracking of vendor compliance; generating purchase orders, and entering invoice data into the Lawson software system.

Required Skills
The requirements for the Purchasing Assistant include: 1 year + of procurement/purchasing experience; an Associates degree preferred but not required. Finance degree highly preferred but not required. Experience with Lawson software is highly preferred but not required.
