Job Listing: Planners

Volt Services Group has a great opportunity for experienced Planners in the Cleveland area!

The primary job duties include monitoring the Production Schedule to reduce waste and improve resource utilization. The timely management of all work orders in support of on time delivery and inventory accuracy. Maintaining and processing accompanying paperwork. Identifying and resolving machine labor capacity and or roadblocks.

Timely response to all internal and external customer messages within the expected time frames. Reviewing and addressing scheduling action messages and taking appropriate action to prevent delays and reschedules.

Identify product and system flow improvements to eliminate non-value added operations. Maintaining all current job orders and demand dates/updates from the Production Change Notices in conjunction with Production Planning.

Reporting the overall performance of machine lines against schedule when necessary. Manage inventory transactions including material issue, transfers between branch plants, R&O and Product Support, shipments on sales orders, receipts from work order closure. Communicate lead times, run quantities, cycle counts and on time delivery and maintaining charts.

Required Skills

Basic Qualifications: College degree in Materials Management or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of/pursuing APICS designation. Three to six years of experience in material planning and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, previous ERP (i.e. JD Edwards, Impressa, SAP) would be considered an asset! Excellent verbal and written communication skills ' Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment.
