Risk Assessment Engineer (Senior-3-5 yrs experience) Salary $82,900 - $90,000
Risk Assessment Engineer (Principal -10+ yrs experience) Salary $93,900 - $102,000
Risk Engineer can expect to assist in the development of a risk assessment procedure for major energy construction project implementation that takes into consideration the risks in the areas of costs, commercial, schedule and planning.
The ideal principal candidate possesses:
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 10+ years of applicable experience.
o Overall knowledge of major engineering, procurement and construction projects relating to the power generating industry.
o Experience in project estimating and cost control.
o Experience in implementation of projects relating to commercial nuclear power plants.
o Demonstrated understanding of project schedules.
o Capable of working with and motivating teams.
o PMI Certification
Planning Specialist (3-5 yrs experience) Salary $70,900 - $85,000
Lead Planners (10+ yrs experience) Salary $90,000 - $100,000
The Project Planner will work with Project Managers, using project planning software (SAP and Primavera) to monitor, track and report project costs, scheduling and activity.
A successful Lead Planner and Planning Specialist candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
- A bachelor's degree is required (Business Administration or Engineering)
- 3-10+ years of Project planning/scheduling, cost accounting, budget forecasting, critical path scheduling experience is required(Nuclear Power industry a plus).
- Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, and have the judgment and experience to identify and evaluate cost and progress trends.
- Experience with Primavera or equivalent program is required.
- SAP experience is a plus.
(10 open) Positions for Quality Engineer - (10+ years of experience) Salary $93,900 - $102,000
(10 open) Positions Quality Engineer - (3-5 years of experience) Salary $82,900 - $90,000
The position(s) will focus on Quality Assurance activities associated with New Nuclear Power Plant design and construction in the US and abroad.
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
- Lead quality assurance activities related to projects, programs, systems and components associated with nuclear power plant systems at supplier or customer locations.
- Serve as the primary quality assurance interface with customers and coordinate all quality assurance activities for a nuclear power plant project.
- Provide internal quality assurance oversight of design, procurement, and project activities.
- Lead multi-disciplined teams to address quality issues and concerns to meet the satisfaction of customer representatives.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding quality assurance subjects and issues.
Secondary responsibilities may include:
- Lead audits of supplier quality programs.
- Perform surveillance and inspection of supplier products and processes. This includes review and verification of supplier process qualifications and on-going operations to assure products are in full compliance with technical and contract requirements.
- Interface with supplier's technical and management personnel to identify quality issues and collaboratively pursue solutions.
- Coordinate customer quality oversight activities at the supplier's facility.
- Review supplier design engineering, manufacturing and quality documentation for compliance to customer requirements.
This position may focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Records Lead
- Information Technology Quality
- Project Quality Assurance
- Corrective Action Program
- Root Cause Investigation/Analysis
- Supplier Oversight of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment or Civil/Structural
- Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)
A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
1) technical bachelor's degree plus 10 years (minimum) quality experience is required
2) experience interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal technical groups is required
3) knowledge of quality assurance standards associated with design, fabrication and construction is required.
4) Nuclear industry experience preferable
5) knowledge of and experience with manufacturing and inspection processes related to the fabrication of heavy equipment
6) knowledge of the ASME Code specifically ASME Sections III, V, IX, and XI is desired.
Continuous Improvement Engineer - Salary - $93,900 - $102,000
The Continuous Improvement Engineer will:
1. Work with the various functional groups to evaluate Key Process Indicators for trends and improvement opportunities.
2. Work with various functional groups to identify gaps and put in place solutions to close those gaps.
3. Member of the Business Process Improvement Steering Committee:
a. Use of the Six Sigma Black Belt tools to identify IT solutions for NPP as it continues to grow to support additional new plant build
b. Ensure the Six Sigma Black Belt mentality is applied as IT projects are selected and initiated.
4. Work as the Six Sigma Black Belt representative to the larger organizations within NPP (Engineering and Projects)
a. Complete 5-Pathway projects and maintain the functional groups project pipeline
b. Support the group in utilization of Six Sigma Black Belt tools to make everyday decisions
c. Conduct Kaizens within the group as necessary in order to drive continuous improvement.
5. Foster the mentality that Six Sigma Black Belt is the "way we do business" by using the tools and mentoring others in the usage of the tools.
6. Mentor Greenbelt and Six Sigma Black Belt candidates through training.
A successful candidate:
- Must be a certified Six Sigma Black Belt Leader (due to required training in all 4 aspects of Customer 1st: BD, HuP, Lean and Six Sigma)
- Possess strong presentation skills since will be presenting to senior management on key strategic objectives.
Sourcing/Materials Lead - Salary - $77,600 - $99,300
In this position, a Sourcing/Materials Lead can expect to perform the following duties:
o Serve as a key member in the Supply Chain (purchasing) Group. Involves working with suppliers to obtain parts, supplies and/or equipment per design specification at the best price, within schedule.
o This position includes developing and maintaining vendor/supplier relationships and working with engineers and project teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
o Identify suitable suppliers for cost and capacity considerations, prepare sourcing plans, conduct analysis of supplier's offerings and prepare recommendations of the most suitable supplier. Additionally, prepare concise management review reports on a periodic basis.
o Conduct risk management analysis of selected suppliers taking into account material costing trends and capacity constraints.
o Prepare and deliver program presentations to high level supplier executive management.
o Prepare and submit Request for Information, Requests for Quotation, and the issuance of Purchase Orders. Maintain a definite and complete documentation trail and a concise status of efforts suitable for management review.
o The ability to analyze and identify the "Total cost of Ownership" principles in making suitable supplier selections.
A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
o A four year degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (including technical) plus 10 years of related experience in supplier management roles.
o Knowledge of SAP is highly desired.
o Some level of specific knowledge of heavy fabrication techniques, nuclear components and associated suppliers is preferred.
o A demonstrated skill set in identifying, qualifying and negotiating with suppliers on matter of cost, terms and conditions and general contract requirements.
o Knowledge and experience with various contract types including terms and conditions, letters of intent, letters of agreement and the creation and processing of purchase orders.
o The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
o An organized thinker that can develop sourcing strategies, maintain a robust documentation trail and can analyze supplier offerings, and select the best of those.
o The ability to interface effectively with the technical, quality and the legal organizations to capture and convey the specification requirements and contractual needs and write these effectively into a contract format.
Sourcing/Program Manager - (2 positions) Salary - $109,400 - $133,600
The Sourcing Manager position requires the management of Multi-disciplinary teams for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, manufacturing follow, and execution and delivery of major components for the Nuclear Steam Supply System generating station. This will involve evaluation of supplier bids and intelligence to make sourcing decisions. Once supplier selection is made, the manager will direct resources to create and implement project plans to ensure technical and financial activities are performed in support of established schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
oLead team to identify potential suppliers of primary components, solicit and evaluate bids.
oNegotiate pricing and enter into multi-million dollar purchase contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
oParticipate in the development of strategic sourcing plans and strategies for future business development.
oDirect a team to Formulate and implement highly complex project plans to satisfy contract requirements and achieve company financial objectives.
oEstablish and maintain consolidated project technical, commercial and financial status. The project status must integrate input from internal organizations, subcontractors and suppliers.
oAssume ultimate responsibility for performance to satisfy contract commitments.
oDevelop and maintain detail project budgets against which progress can be measured and final results predicted. Monitor project costs against control budget. Assume overall responsibility for profitability of the project.
oIntegrate project's objectives and actions through participation with other project groups in matters of common concern. Promote projects-wide teamwork and effective communication.
A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Related Technical field plus ten years progressive experience in cost and schedule control of large, complex engineering, sourcing, and fabrication/construction projects. (Advanced degree preferred).
- Familiarity with NSSS thermal equipment engineering and design, and working knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts and principles.
- An understanding of heavy component fabrication, machine shop operations, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and negotiations and Experience/exposure to Project Management tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of teams which have delivered high quality projects on time and within on budget.
Principal Project Engineer - (2 positions) Salary - $93,900 - $111,700
In this position, a Principal Project Engineer can expect to work with the Project Manager to execute project plans to ensure completion of complex large-scale projects. This will involve project planning, scheduling, cost analysis and managing the interfaces between client, customers, and suppliers.
The Project Engineer will be required to interface with Chinese and US Utilities, suppliers, and internal groups. Participation will be required in the development of processes, tools, and procedures.
A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- 10+ years experience in project management/planning demonstrated with SAP, Primavera, or Microsoft Projects
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Manufacturing and/or heavy industry experience
- Familiarity with components for the Nuclear Industry
