Job Listing: Receptionist (part time), PLEASE

Overview
Volt Workforce Solutions is currently hiring for two part time Receptionists for our client in the Poway area of San Diego, CA. The morning shift works from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift is 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday (22.50 hours a week). Both positions are long term, temporary - up to 12 months in duration. Pay rate is $10.00 to $12.00 an hour, depending on experience and we are looking to start both positions on Monday October 20, 2008.

1. Perform clerical and typing tasks as directed by supervisor.
2. Maintain reception lobby in an orderly manner.
3. May assist other departments by performing routine clerical functions.
4. Required to lock doors when entrance is closed after regular working hours.
5. Receive and properly distribute expense checks, airline tickets, special messenger envelopes, and order taxi cabs or other transportation, as required.
6. Receive visitors who have business with our client's personnel, and contact appropriate party.
7. Provide pertinent information and assistance to visitors.
8. Issue temporary visitor badges and account for their return.
9. Maintain building authorization rosters of our client's personnel authorized to sign for badges.
10. Ensure Company personnel have proper badge identification before admittance.
11. Recognize Company executives exempt from wearing or showing Company-issued badges.
12. Issue Company property passes and review incoming / outgoing equipment to ensure proper authorization.
13. Issue parking stickers to visitors.

Required Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent and up to 5 years experience.
Professional presence and strong communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Previous Admin/Clerical experience.
