Job Listing: Associate Engineer

We are seeking candidates for a variety of Volt positions onsite at Caterpillar's facility located in Cary, NC. These positions will range in skill level and duration.
We are seeking an entry level Design Engineer. Duties are as follows:
1. Import wiring diagram data into harness and cable 3-D assemblies.
2. Compare data and resolve discrepancies in diagram and 3-D assemblies.
3. Create 2-D 'flattened' versions of harness and cable assemblies.
4. Create supplier foam board-size drawing exportable to other formats.
5. Create E-size electrical and sheet metal drawings for release into customer system.
6. Create engineering change notices for release into customer system

Required Skills
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of work experience relevant to the position; excellent longevity in previous positions
Bachelor in Engineering either Mechanical or Electrical (prefer Mechanical). The candidate must have strong presentation skills. 95% of this position will be at a computer.
The top 3 technical skills required are:
1. Computer aided design experience (can be classroom/project experience)
2. Data analysis
3. DC electrical circuit design.
The top 3 non-technical skills required are:
1. Detail oriented
2. Initiative/Sense of urgency
3. Strong oral and written communication skills
