Job Listing: Staff Accountant
Volt Professional Search has partnered with a publicly traded, worldwide leader of solutions geared towards background investigations, with an extensive customer base inclusive of governments, law enforcement agencies and commercial enterprises. The company provides the highest quality identification systems, products and services with leading technology, accuracy and speed. The client is seeking a Staff Accountant that will assist in developing, implementing and/or maintaining a general accounting system. Position responsibilities includes preparation of journal entries, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Tasks also include, balancing the books, preparing P&L and balance sheet statements, management of fixed assets and A/R for significant customers. The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for implementing internal controls and ensures compliance with SOX and interpreting reports and records for management and complete statutory tax filings.
Required Skills
Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of Accounting experience within a "Big 4" and/or similar industry. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required, and CPA designation is a plus. Candidates must have a strong understanding of GAAP. Must have proven technical skills with applications software, spreadsheet, database and networking, experience with SAP is a plus. Candidates should be resourceful, dedicated, energetic and motivated to accomplish goals.
