Job Listing: ASP.NET/Sharepoint Support Engineer III
Then I have the job for you. I am looking for an ASP.net/Sharepoint Support Engineer for the largest software provider in the US located in Irving, TX.
You will be responsible for supporting customers mostly from Enterprise-level environments. We work with mid- to large-sized companies who are developing / architecting Sharepoint sites for their business. Customers who call in typically have "how to" questions regarding the development of their Sharepoint site, or are receiving errors when developing the site. Engineers will troubleshoot issues and may provide sample code to assist with the issue. The cases are taken from a queue (no inbound calls - engineer will take a case from the queue and call customers back). Engineers typically close 2-3 cases per week, and the time to close averages about 12 hours.
Acts as the final point of escalation and resolution for technical support. Provides advanced technical support to developers, corporate customers and end users for complex products, including highly escalated issues. Provides support via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media. May act as technical lead and provide technical training, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers. May provide limited consulting to internal or external customers. May research technical documents and feature lists.
Required Skills
4 years work related experience required. Solid understanding of standard computer science concepts required. A strong knowledge of personal computers, and technical proficiency in relevant operating systems, applications, and/or languages required. Exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving, and technical writing skills are required. Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level. Must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Programming and debugging skills may be required. Account management skills preferred. Associate's degree in a technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Technical/Soft Skills Required:
1. ASP.net
2. C# or VB.net

4. Troubleshooting skills
5. Familiarity with Sharepoint (User, Admin, General Knowledge
6. SQL backend (As it relates to web development skills)
7. IIS, Security, Networking
8. Sharepoint development skills (Not required but a nice to have)
