Job Listing: System Administrator
Administer the technical operation of Microsoft Active Directory, server hardware, and related applications and tools
Provision and maintain SAN attached storage and server systems
Create and maintain documentation relevant to support the hardware and software environment
Implement best practice processes to facilitate better system availability and usability.
Train end users and technical staff on related applications and tools.
Support Microsoft Exchange collaboration and communication team in AD design, hardware support and maintenance.
Work with management and IS Applications team to plan, design and execute migration strategies from legacy systems.
Manage associated web filtering and mail appliances to facilitate intrusion prevention assurances.
Administer server system backup and recovery solutions.
Participate in the evaluation of technologies to support business objectives.
Required Skills
Actively participate in Information Technology team meetings within primary site. Interface with peers to ensure our team is exceeding customer goals. Troubleshoot problems and formulate resolutions
Report status of work to both customer and fellow team members
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred, equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Microsoft based System Administration.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and newer is preferred
Proven experience in SAN attached server environments
Prior experience in the high-tech industry preferred.
Microsoft certifications are preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange / Outlook and other office products
Demonstrated verbal communication and analytical skills to probe and define user problems.
Extremely organized with the ability to multitask. EOE.
