Job Listing: LIMS Production Administrator
The Information Systems team is looking for a talented Systems Administrator to help achieve our ambitious goals. Over the next several months, the team will deliver new tools for Financials, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, Lab Information Management Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
This position will administer and support the companies Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Production/MES Systems.
Hands-on responsibilities will include system implementation, configuration, integration, and optimization. The LIMS/Production System Administrator will also be responsible for providing support and training to end users.
This position will work with operations and development staff to enhance application where needed. The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to projects for any functional area of the company.
Essential Functions:
Gather, understand and document business objectives, specifications, and requirements.
Coordinate system enhancements and upgrades ensuring that SLDC process if followed.
Perform administrative functions including end user support, training, and enhancements
Provide timely and effective end user support for LIMS and production systems
Proactively improve and optimize systems.
Manage integration with other systems including integration of laboratory and production equipment.
Participate in the systems development life cycle.
Maintain system documentation and training materials
Identify and work with developers to resolve defects.
Provide accurate status reports of current work progress
Assist with selection, implementation and support of purchased software, and/or the design, implementation and support of custom developed systems that meet end user requirements.
Code and validate data extraction and reporting.

Required Skills
Mainstream LIMS administration experience required!
Follow corporate standards for development processes, tools, and platforms.
Actively participate in Information Systems team meetings within primary site and remote sites.
Collaborate with IS Operations team on system management, testing and deployment.
Represent Information Systems function to all customers in a positive and professional manner.
Stay apprised of emerging technologies and make recommendations
Other tasks as needed to meet department and company goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in similar or like environment, or a minimum of four (4) years working experience in area LIMS/Production administration.
Experience supporting LIMS/Production systems in a fast paced environment.
Working knowledge laboratory/production processes.
Experience with instrument/equipment interfacing
Knowledge of database management systems required. SQL server experience desired.
Proficient with relational databases and the ability to write SQL queries.
A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
Self motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives within assigned time limits.
Detail oriented individual with an ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
Other:
Ability to work with diverse workforce (ethnicity, language and education levels) and with employees in all levels of responsibility.
Occasional travel to other site locations, training seminars, etc.
Must be available for working extended hours during critical phases of development programs.
Flexible hours to support business process requirements in international time zones.
