Planner - ERP. Manufacturing Processes

Our Client is seeking a Planner who will:
Be responsible for planning activities associated with specific customer purchase orders.
Applies understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in the application of responsibilities.
Acts as liaison between Program Management, Production Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and other departments to ensure materials and labor availability to meet customer product delivery dates.
Maintains awareness of the materials lead times and changes in price, quality and delivery.
This is an estimated 6 month contract position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.


Required Skills

Required Skills for this Planner position include the following:
3-5 years applied experience in planning/scheduling.
Understanding of manufacturing/material flow processes in electronics manufacturing environment. APICS certification or at minimum must have completed the APICS "Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management" course.
Previous experience with computerized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably within the high tech/electronics manufacturing industry. Experience with ORACLE. ERP systems a plus.
Self-directed, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining positive work relationships with individuals inside and external to the organization.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently, within pre-determined time, quality and cost objectives.
Experience with variety of software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheet, project management, graphics, etc.
