Job Listing: Electrical Engineer

Are you a Facilities Electrical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? Volt is partnering with an internationally renowned company and we are looking for a facilities electrical designer with 7+ years experience in design of electrical distribution systems including switchboards, transformers, panel boards, generators, fire alarm, lighting, receptacles, equipment rooms, risers, etc. Candidate should be a self starter with excellent verbal communication skills and have an active interest in personal growth and development.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Designing all aspects of electrical power and lighting systems under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer for data centers and manufacturing and industrial facilities.

Producing one-line schematic and riser diagrams, panels schedules, and lighting schedules.

Field inspections of existing electrical power and lighting systems.
As-built drawings.

Estimating electrical construction cost.

Designing life safety systems

Designing UPS systems.

Producing electrical design construction and specification documents.

Spreadsheet load calculations, layout and design of equipment rooms, cad drawing, selection of electrical devices and distribution equipment from manufacturers catalogs

Required Skills

Significant experience working with project managers to determine the project size, scope and budget. Ability to keep a project on course throughout the entire design/production phase, and ability to effectively communicate with all disciplines involved in a given project.

Design experience will include performing load calculations to determine the service, circuit breaker, conduit, and conductor sizes.
Specifying and selecting electrical equipment
Experience with electrical system design for industrial facilities and projects, including lighting, power distribution, auxiliary systems, substations, transmission through distribution, for medium and high voltage systems.
Proficient in AUTOCAD, version 2005 or later.
Estimating electrical construction cost
