CAD Configuration Management Technician CM Methodologies, SolidWorks
6 Month Contract Position
Our Client is seeking a CAD Configuration Management Technician who will:
Take ownership of the change control process, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of changes within the CAD library.
Be responsible for all revisions and changes once documents are released.
Input Bills-of-Material and routings in the database.
Modify basic elements of CAD designs for Engineering group (incorporating red line changes).
Ensure process adherence with established procedures.
Adapt to changing environments and requirements as well as the ability to support multiple projects.
Monitor all required approvals are attained prior to implementation of change requests.
Distribute and maintain control of documents used to support internal methods and processes.
Manage the change control system and implements Engineering Change Notices.
This is an estimated 6 month contract position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.


Required Skills

Required Skills for this CAD Configuration Management Technician position include the following:
5+ years of industry experience in high uptime technical environment.
3+ years knowledge of CM methodologies and ability to automate CM process.
1 - 3 years experience with SolidWorks.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to understand Technical Engineering environment sufficiently well.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
