Job Listing: Desktop Technician

A client of TEKsystems is looking for a Desktop Technician in Nashville, TN.

No 3rd party vendors please.

Qualified candidates will have prior experience with Windows 2000 and Windows XP in a LAN setting. The candidate will be responsible for installs, modifications, hardware and software repairs, and provide technical assistance. Configure desktop PCs, notebook computers, printers, and peripherals. Perform repairs to desktop systems, provide end user support for desktop and LAN based applications, proprietary computer-based manufacturing and graphics applications, and provide desktop hardware and operating system support.

Qualified candidates will have 3 years experience in a Desktop support role. Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN workstations, printers, and other LAN connected devices. Strong familiarity with desktop systems, LAN / LAN based applications, proprietary computer based manufacturing and graphics applications, desktop hardware and PC operating systems currently used. A+, Network+, or MCP certification.

This is a contract position. The candidate will be working Monday through Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. This is a business casual environment. No travel is expected.
