Job Listing: Site Safety Technician

A Navy shipbuilding contractor is currently seeking a Construction/Shipyard Site Safety Technician for a project in San Diego CA.

Responsibilities
Direct and monitor health and safety operations onsite including:
- Worker’s compensation
- Drug and alcohol program
- Safety inspections, audits and surveys
- Accident and near miss investigations
- Written site specific safety plans for projects
- Customer interfacing
- Regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT)
- Training
- Recommend and/or create safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years experience

- Experience with Regulatory compliance and construction safety
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent customer service is also a must
- Basic word processing and excel spreadsheet skills necessary
