Job Listing: QA Tester

Our client is looking for a Senior QA/Performance Engineer candidate with QA automation experience. Candidates must be proficient with Automation Tools: Load Runner (required) , WinRunner, QTP, etc. Also, need to have 4-6 yrs experience with Java / J2EE, Unix/Linux and Oracle database technology. Candidates should have proficiency with scripting languages and XML as well as have experience with one or more web server technology: Weblogic, IIS, Apache, JBOSS. This position is open because they need support on their RMS project. This is a Remote Management System that they use to monitor the status of their biomedical instruments worldwide. The system monitors how the instruments are performing and warns their field service providers if a machine is going to need repair work before it shuts down so they can be proactive in servicing these $1mil plus machines. The RMS project is ongoing as they currently have 70+ instruments on the system and are expecting to add at least 1500+ in the next 3-5 years. As they have been developing this application, they have neglected the stress testing and need this candidate to not only test current code but also test code as it is being developed. Candidates will have to handle automation using Load Runner (and other tools) for load generation against the product, recording test results and analyzing/publishing reports. They will also have to find, report and track product defects with respect to scalability/performance and define, create and document scalability/performance tests and test environments.
