Job Listing: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client located in Kent Washington, designs and manufactures crash launchers for the automotive and aerospace crash dummy testing industries. They do everything - design, engineer, build, test, assemble and ship their product. They have new projects coming up from Honda, Porsche, and Volvo, and are looking for a senior level mechanical design engineer to oversee new and existing engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Machine design
* "Big Picture" conceptual design and analysis
* Engineering/Designing of mechanical structures and mechanisms
* CAD modeling using Solidworks
* Optimization in strength to weight ratios
* Working closely with and overseeing drafters/designers
* Communication with suppliers and customers

Qualifications:
* BSME, MSME preferred
* 8+ years experience in machine design
* Ability to work effectively under challenging conditions (multi tasking, scheduling)
* Versatile and hands-on mechanical engineer with the ability to operate in several different areas of engineering
* Experience in:
- industrial automation
- hydraulics
- pneumatic controls
- FEA analysis
- GD&T

This senior mechanical engineer opportunity is a direct permanent placement and pay ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 DOE.
