Job Listing: Pharmacology - Research Assistant

Position Description: We are currently looking for a Research Assistant level, pharmacologist to work on a 4 month contract position for a great company in San Diego. Studies the effects of drugs and compounds in animals and in tissues, cells and subcellular preparations derived from animals or humans. Experiments with animals and tissue to determine the effect of new drug compound entities utilizing in-vivo, in-vitro, and ex-vivo models on cells, tissues and whole animal systems. Develops in-vivo and in-vitro models for compound screening and profiling; investigates the mechanism of action for research targets and compounds. Performs research experiments under close supervision. Analyzes scientific data under close supervision. Maintains and operates scientific apparatus to perform research experiments. Maintains basic familiarity with current scientific literature relevant to the research experiments or program. Maintains laboratory notebook in a complete, consistent and concise manner in accordance with company intellectual property policies and practices. Complies with company health and safety policies and general laboratory practices.

Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of six months related experience and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
