Job Listing: Software Engineer

Our client designs and manufactures communications solutions for military tactical networks. We specialize in maximizing bandwidth utilization while preserving interoperability between COTS and unique military interfaces. Our client is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, providing defense electronics since 1951.

Our client is an international group of specialty businesses designing, manufacturing, and supporting electronic and electromechanical systems, subsystems, and products for defense and aerospace markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Will play a major role in the development of a completely new Internet Protocol (IP) quality of service device tailored to U.S. DoD applications, including design, implementation and test.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
-BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
-5+ years experience in embedded C/C++ software development for switch, router or other network equipment
-Knowledge of networking protocols: Ethernet bridging, VLAN, TCP/IP protocols; IPv4 and/or IPv6 Routing
-Strong verbal and written communication skills

At least two of the following:
-Linux software development experience, for 32/64-bit embedded processors
-Knowledge of network and computer security concepts
-Experience in developing software for Ethernet switch or network processor chips
-Experience in developing QoS/DiffServ software

    Salary and Benefits

    Rate: $85,000 to $105,000 per Year
