Job Listing: Mid Level Environmental Scientist

The position is based in Columbia and there is also an office in VA based on where the candidate lives.

Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Environmental Scientist

Provide technical support for environmental remediation and investigation at hazardous waste sites under RCRA/CERCLA.

Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating and leading field investigations
Analytical data review and analysis
Drawing/Figure preparation
Development of Work Plans, Investigation Report, Decision Documents, and Closure Reports
Periodic operation and maintenance of treatment systems

5-7 yrs of progressive experience specializing in:
Multimedia environmental investigations and remediation
Interpretation of geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data to asses site conditions
Evaluation of risks to human health and the environment
Definition/Selection of effective remediation methods

Required Skills:
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral)
Highly motivated
Self starter
Works well in a team environment
Must be able to travel and to travel on short notice
Technical writing associated with the CERCLA/ RCRA documentation
Knowledge of all regulatory requirements (Federal and State)
Sound understanding of current site investigation procedures and technologies
Knowledge of operation and maintenance of remediation systems
OSHA 40Hr + updated 8Hr Refresher
