Job Listing: Structural Engineer-Telecommunications

The company is a full service wireless telecommunications design firm with its main office in North San Diego County. They have grown quickly and already established themselves in the wireless telecommunications industry with Clients such as Metro PCS, AAT Communications, T-Mobile, Sprint / Nextel, Bechtel Corporation and Frontier Radio.

We have a core group of in-house licensed electrical, structural and civil engineers to service its clients with high quality design documents and calculations for zoning and building permit submittals. An experienced team of designers and drafters support the core engineering team together with industry-established geotechnical and surveying sub consultants. We understand the aggressive timelines mandated by Clients in the wireless telecommunications industry, and have the leadership, resources and structured organization to insure that your projects meet or beat the required deadline.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities will include structural analyses on project sites (rooftop, monopole, lattice tower, guy tower, equipment shelter, retaining wall etc.) The Structural Engineer will also be responsible for managing the structural and design aspect of the project, engaging site investigations, developing structural details and providing construction support. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to learn from a Senior Structural Engineer and grow within the company. We are looking for a self-starter, problem solver, and hard working individual.

Job Requirements:

- BS in Structural Engineering with two years of direct hands on experience; MS in Structural Engineering preferred
- Experience in the telecommunication industry is a plus
- Knowledge of building standards and codes; CBC/UBC/IBC
- EIT certifications desired, PE preferred
- Familiarity with AUTOCAD, RISA Tower, RISA 2-D, Staad, SAP 2000, MathCAD and EnerCalc
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Exceptional design knowledge on RC, Steel, Timber and Masonry
