Job Listing: Patent Prosecution Secretary

Will support patent prosecution matters for a number of attorneys throughout the firm. Responsibilities will include reviewing dockets on a daily basis, filing applications, preparation and review of formal documents for filing in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, ordering and management of prior art references for submission in Information Disclosure Statements, docketing of prosecution events for response, preparation and processing of client correspondence, day-to-day management of patent prosecution files, and the maintenance of a database of scanned prosecution documents. This position may involve significant interaction with inventors and clients. REQUIREMENTS: 0-2 years experience. No education required but open to associates or bachelors degree. Seeking experienced individuals that are self starters with exceptional organizational and planning skills. Will require excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Flexibility and the ability to concentrate on diverse tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities are necessary. Professional demeanor and excellent typing and communication skills a must. Regular, consistent attendance is an essential function of the job. Attention to detail is mandatory.
