Job Listing: PHP/MYSQL DEVELOPER

Our client has a need for a PHP/MYSQL Developer. Job description is as follows:

PHP developer with at least 3 years of professional experience.

Experience in working with PHP 5, including object-oriented development as well as procedural development. Procedural programmers without a strong object-oriented background will be considered.

Experience and understanding in hooking to MySQL 5 through PHP.

Experience in building database-driven web sites a must.

Understanding of PHP MVC development frameworks a plus but not required (Zend Framework, CakePHP, Symfony, etc).

Strong client-side development skills preferred including XHTML, Javascript and CSS.

Experience with Javascript development frameworks a plus Prototype / Scriptaculous, JQuery, etc)

Working knowledge of version control (Subversion experience preferred)

Ability to perform basic Linux command line functions (no bash scripting required).

Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments, with a solid understanding of Apache web server.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as advanced trouble-shooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience with PHPEd IDE by NuSphere a plus.

Ability to work with a team, as well as independently required.

B.S. preferred, but experience can substitute. B.S. in computer science is not required.

This is a contract position expected to last 6 months. Client will be flexible with candidate working from home as long as they come in at least once a week to meet with manager.
