SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS ANALYST
Position is based in Rye, NY. Supply Chain's mission is to provide structure and coordination of key relationships and critical information within company's global supply chain, and lead sourcing strategies across our businesses that optimize synergies to improve profitability, supply base performance, and enhance competitive market advantage. Achieving this mission requires the collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of business information from many corporate functions and users. This role requires partnering with a broad base of stakeholders that are providing raw data and/or using reports to operate their businesses. The position will also act as a liaison between business users with requirements for database applications and IT programmers/DBA’s who are responsible for developing and maintaining database applications.
Corporate databases that the Supply Chain Systems Analyst would be interacting with include: purchasing and payment history, supplier master records, real estate inventories, third-party contract archives, telecommunications inventories, environmental health and safety records, commodities pricing variances, shipping rate tables, project status tracking, licensing agreements, key supplier capabilities, organizational charts, customs inspection records, social compliance audits, insurance policies, trademark records, web site statistics, and endorsement agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and report monthly commodities pricing variance data from multiple business units
- Collect status reports and create savings updates from sourcing project managers monthly
- Gather requirements for and configure on-line surveys for data collection
- Fulfill requests for ad-hoc reporting in support of executive decision making
- Document business requirements and process work flows for new database applications
- Partner with IT programmers and DBA’s to design, develop, and test new applications
- Manage quarterly extracts of purchase order and payment data for data warehouse upload
- Support the creation of basic Excel/Access tools to simplify the analysis of project requirements
- Draft user guides and training manuals for database applications and post on intranet
- Administer end user training schedules and deliver training for corporate database applications
- Manage user accounts, teams, and role permissions for access to database applications
- Facilitate monthly or quarterly collection and annual audits of mission-critical data
- Administer externally hosted DaaS platforms that are used to house corporate data
- Coordinate digital scanning, tagging, and upload of documents to archive databases
- Fulfill requests for best practice research from corporate supply chain team
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information systems or business; master’s degree a plus
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Experience with on-line survey creation and analysis tools (i.e. QuestionPro)
- Proficiency with business requirements documentation and process mapping
- Experience in technical writing, training courseware creation, and training delivery
- Familiarity with relational database principles
- Experience designing and developing end user reports required
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Must have solid research, analytical and math skills. Must be detail-oriented and accurate
- Positive attitude, self-starter and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in a fast-paced environment working with multiple projects and priorities
