Job Listing: Transportation Resident Engineer

International Engineering Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for their Transportation department.

This Transportation Resident Engineer will be acting as the on-site representative to provide project leadership and oversee daily observation of the construction work compared to the project's plans and specifications. This is an immediate and permanent opportunity. The salary range depends on experience.

Job Duties Include:

- Prepare reports.
- Coordinate progress meetings with the contractor and owner.
- Manage shop drawing review process.
- Certify Contractor payrolls.
- Review of Contractor's subcontractor agreements.
- Draft and manage Client's sub consultant agreements.
- Monitor internal project budgets.
- Ensure personnel's compliance with the Group Safety manual.
- Review and submit monthly billings to the Client.
- Analyze and negotiate change orders.
- Resolve contractor questions and drawing clarifications.
- Other duties may be required.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required, Masters Degree preferred.
- Be a registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with IDOT projects required.
- Certified Construction Manager (CMAA) certification preferred.
