Job Listing: Clinical Pharmacist

This Position will have responsibilities for the pharmaceutical oversight for 2 business units. This Position will be primarily responsible for the provision of the day to day clinical input and review necessary to support the companies product catalog, and formulary, and pharmacy databases. This Position will provide the clinical input needed, assist in the operational oversight, and work to resolve issues associated with the client specific clinical information used for core electronic prescribing and maintain the key business relationships with partners for externally sourced and internally developed formulary information. They will assist in the operational oversight of data such as drug information, prescription instructions/sigs, and DUR modules.

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Oversee changes to the medication labeling and set up for products repackaged.
-Day-to-day oversight and review of existing clinical content in knowledge databases.
-Proactive review of knowledge databases for new product introductions.
-Field questions from internal and external representatives on knowledge data.
-Champion changes to the databases necessary to maintain the accuracy of the clinical information.
-Review and assist in the maintenance of adding sigs to the system.
-Assess formulary impact of selected managed care contracts and work internally to drive business requirements to meet those needs.
-Clinical review to meet regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Pharmacy degree
State license
Experience in working with and developing outpatient pharmaceutical formularies required
Outpatient drug utilization review, experience working for a pharmacy benefit management company or pharmacy claims processor
Experience with JCAHO, NCQA/HEDIS, NCPDP desired
Minimal travel (1-2 trips/yr) as required for job
