Traffic Engineer Needed

Aerotek Environmental and Engineering is looking for an engineer to do a variety of transportation/traffic assignments. Our firm is looking for motivated individuals to design a wide variety of transportation improvements.

Job Description

Engineers will be exposed to a wide variety of design projects, including (but not limited to) traffic signals and signal systems; bicycle and pedestrian improvement; street, highway, walkway, and bikeway lighting, signing and striping, ramp metering, construction traffic control/management plans, roundabouts, etc.

New hires will perform a wide variety of tasks, including preparation of plans, specifications and estimates, reviews of electrical installations during and after construction, reviews of traffic and project reports. Qualified candidates will also be involved in meetings, discipline groups, and on-the-job training and mentoring. The right candidate will have working knowledge of transportation software systems including Synchros or like packages used

Qualifications

Engineers must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil, or electrical engineering, or a related major. Desirable work experience includes exposure to field work and transportation planning or traffic engineering design. Technical writing and verbal communication skills should be above average, and an EIT for engineering candidates is highly desirable.

Salary $45K- 65+ DOE
