Job Listing: Network Analyst

TEKsystems is looking for a Network Analyst. This person will need an Active Top Secret clearance. This is an entry to mid level position. Candidate will monitor the health of the environment using Nagios. Nagios is an open source (free) version of HP Openview or CiscoWorks. The candidate should have a level of proficiency in Linux or UNIX at the GUI level. Moving forward, they will have an increasing dependency on Solaris 9/10.

The day to day job duties will be similar to that of a second level helpdesk technician. They will take an occasional inbound call that has been escalated from the helpdesk. Anticipated volume of less than 10 per week to start. Candidate will be watching the monitors that display the health of the network. Candidate will close out second level tickets. Candidate will respond to alerts generated by Nagios. Will research, fix and document. Candidate will also provide desktop support services to internal users.

They will be monitoring servers (Linux, Unix and Windows), applications, Firewalls (Juniper), Netscreen, Cisco 7201's and 3560's and web services. Approximately 100-150 servers on network, spanning 14 CONUS locations.
