Job Listing: Mechanical Designer

Aerotek has partnered with a leading manufacturer of Cryogenic vessels and tanks. The position is a direct placement Mechanical Design Engineer in Ball Ground, GA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform structural and thermal design and testing of cryogenic vessels and systems.
2. Design vessels to comply with ASME, DOT, TPED, PED and other codes.
3. Communicate design parameters to product engineering, manufacturing engineering and others.
4. Assist in test procedure development, test instrumentation, and test documentation.
5. Maintain electronic files of design calculations, test procedures and reports, approval submittals and manuals.
6. Assist Product Management in creation of manuals and technical documentation.
7. Provide information to outside regulatory agencies, foreign and domestic, as required.
8. Create Design Validation and FEMA documents for products designed.
9. Assist in creation of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action documents as required.
10 .Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

*3-5 years of experience
*BSME, BSMET, or equivalent degree and experience.
*Knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII, DOT4L, CGA and ISO 9001/13485 preferred.
*Must be proficient with Windows Office software.
*AutoCAD and MathCAD experience
*Pressure vessel, cryogenic and thermal design experience preferred.
