Job Listing: CAD Drafter

CAD Drafter:

* Provides drafting support for the Research and Development team, by doing project drawing production and assisting the design teams.
* Performs drafting using Solid Edge according to accepted Company and National standards with limited supervision.
* Develops drawings from sketches and verbal instructions.

* Modifies existing drawings from:
Verbal instructions
Engineering Change Orders
Solid model data
Sketches
Marked-up prints utilizing Computer-Assisted Design/Drafting programs
Creates and revises original drawings following prescribed instructions.
Works within a ISO 9001 design control environment

ATTRIBUTES:

Knowledge and Skill:

* Has a thorough understanding of Solid Edge drafting techniques, minimum of 2 years of experience in a Solid Edge drafting environment.
* Experience with drafting of both mechanical components, wire harnesses, fluidic schematics, electrical schematics, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Has a thorough understanding of ASME drafting standards.
* Employs use of procedures, standards and reference information.
* Able to work efficiently within a design environment with controlled document review and release processes
* Is highly detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
* Displays competence and sincerity in job functions.
* Consistently estimates accurate completion time of own assignments.
* Effectively coordinates with Project Team and across disciplines.
* Regularly demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
* Is able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, clients and other in contact with on-the-job.
