Job Listing: Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Track/Hull)

DS2 is accepting resumes for an M1 and/or M2 Track/Hull Mechanic at our location in Germany. This position is a fax back position (12 weeks). Per diem of $150 per day.

General Description:

Inspects, repairs, and maintains functional parts of a variety of automotive equipment and machinery such as automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, forklifts, and buses. Tasks may range from diagnoses of faulty operations using motor analyzers, pressure gauges, chassis charts, and factory manuals, to disassembly and overhaul of engines, transmissions, clutches, generators, starters, differentials, distributors, alternators, pumps, and other assemblies using standard automotive hand and power tools. Replaces worn or broken parts; grinds valves; adjusts brakes; tightens body bolts; aligns wheels; repairs wiring; and adjusts lights.

Minimum Requirements:

M1A1/A2 (AIMS) (MOSs: 63D, 63H, 63A), M2A2 Bradley (MOSs:45E, 45K & 63A, 63E) & M113A3 Armored Personnel Carrier (MOS: 63 Series) Must have training and 4 years experience with Army tracked vehicle maintenance. Must be able to troubleshoot the various types of track vehicles (hulls, turrets, tracks) and work independently when needed. Must be able to read technical manuals and electronic technical manuals. Must possess a valid civilian drivers license. Must be willing to obtain a German Residency Permit and work permit to work for a six-month term of employment if required. Candidates must in-process at Germany regional office prior to beginning work. At least 4 years experience and training with Army tracked vehicle maintenance. Must be willing to shift locations as needed to support on-going military support. Must be capable of working in a stand-alone position. Must have steel toe books and mechanics toolbox upon site arrival.

Work Environment/Conditions:

Position location is to be either Schweinfurt or Graf and can be at any Army military installation in Germany based on the needs of the company and the US Army, and is subject to change during the 12 week period of employment.
