Job Listing: Oracle DBA

TEKsystems has an immediate need for a Sr. Oracle DBA to provide full DBA support for Oracle Database applications, each having their own Production, Development and Test databases in a 24 x 7 environment on Sun Solaris servers.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day Oracle database administration and production support residing in a regulated validated environment.
- Installation, upgrade and maintenance of the Oracle databases in development, test & Production environments
- Planning and execution of database backup and recovery
- Manage integrations between multiple databases (MFG/Pro (progress), Siebel (SQL), Pilgrim (Oracle) eCentral (Oracle) and Pro Intralink.
- Database tuning for performance and stability
- Database security implementation and monitoring
- Unix Shell Scripting (sh, csh, ksh, perl)


Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or appropriate combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years experience as a Oracle DBA, in a Sun Solaris environment
- Oracle 9i & 10
- Experience with Tomcat, Apache Servers, Web Logic Servers, LDAP, TCP/IP
- Enovia/MatrixOne – eCentral 10.7
- ESB/Webstore
- Sun Solaris 9 & 10
- Unix shell scripting
- Excellent verbal, written communication and teamwork skills

Desired
- SQL and/or Progress database experience
- Scripting in Java, SQL, PL-SQL & VBScript
- Linux and/or Red Hat Linux
- Siebel and/or eCentral application experience
- Pilgrim – SmartSolve and/or Q&MIS application experience
- PTC Pro Intralink or Windchill PDM Link experience
- FlexLM License management in both Unix & Windows Platforms experience

Working Conditions
- Some after hours and weekend support is required.
