Job Listing: VoIP NOC Technician

TEKsystems is looking for a VoIP NOC Technician to work at our client site in Butte, Montana on a contract to hire basis. Our client is the leading wholesale provider of telecommunications products and services in the western, United States.

The VoIP NOC technician will be responsible for assisting internal and external customers in system diagnostics and resolution of technical problems, system outages and maintenance. There will be an emphasis on VoIP technology and networks with a need for strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. This position requires a basic knowledge of voice telecommunications and traffic as well as a working knowledge of core network infrastructure and TCP/IP networking. Also required will be knowledge of TCP/IP networking and VoIP technology exposure, including SIP and Session Border controller softswitch telephony. Good telephone skills, etiquette, and communication skills are a must.


Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and tracking of system functionality
- Processing outage tickets
- Communicating with customers, vendors, partners, and Telco carriers.
