Job Listing: Application Packager/Deployment Engineer

Seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Application Packager/Software Deployment Engineer position in Laurel, MD.

The Software Deployment Engineer develops/engineers software product deployments, provides third-level production support of Intel-platform operating system based software products, manages technical aspects of software deployments for various products on server and client operating systems, coordinates technical activities with product vendors, interacts with Information Systems personnel in maintaining project solvency and maintains and supports product deployments.

Qualified individuals will possess 3 or more years of experience engineering/developing software deployments; 4+ years of overall packaging and deployment experience; a STRONG familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Systems Management Software (SMS) 2003 for product deployment; experience with Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 2000, 2003 and XP; and familiarity with installation deployment products such as Windows Installer, InstallShield, Wise Installer and Prizm. Other helpful qualities include knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Rexx, Microsoft .Net languages, DOS Batch files and VBScript and exceptional verbal and written communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.
